3D Mailbox is a free email client for Windows that offers the ability to browse the internet and receive email messages. The application requires little initial configuration and can easily be downloaded from the program's website using a common software utility. I ran the demo version of 3D Mailbox on Windows 7 Home Edition and was able to connect and use the application fairly quickly and without any errors. The interface of the program is very simple and straightforward which allows for a fluid browsing experience, and opening and replying to emails is fast.
After downloading the software and installing it on my machine, I started to receive some error messages which eventually went away. After some time I tried to open another instance of the software but was met with a "DLL error". It was soon evident that the main problem was related to a missing DLL file which is required by the software application to function properly. Although I was able to download and install a new DLL file, the software would not load properly and would often crash or run very slowly.
In conclusion, 3D Mailbox is a free e-mail client for Windows that runs as a free download. It works quite well with Gmail accounts and Outlook emails. It does not have the same functionality as the paid version of the software, which costs $40 for the full version. It can be used as a basic software mail application with out the advanced features that you may want to integrate into your system such as access to G-Mail, Microsoft Exchange or POP/SMTP.
